“doodles and whatnot” is a book project that leans toward autobiography. It proposes a new artistic format for presenting collectible—and also lendable—drawings and texts. By adopting the nature of books, it offers a different dimension for showcasing content outside the traditional context of art exhibitions. The book contains 365 drawings accompanied by texts, created by Hani Mahfouz over years of engaging with cumulative events, through which he crafted his own personal calendar.
